If you’ve ever booked a big SUV transfer in Dubai, there’s a good chance it was a Yukon. Six of the eight UAE chauffeur fleets we checked list one. It’s the practical choice in our chauffeur car line-up. It has the same footprint as the Cadillac Escalade and very similar room inside, under a plainer badge.
Yukon or Yukon XL: which one are you getting?
GMC sells the Yukon in two lengths, and the name on a booking site doesn’t always say which. The standard Yukon has a boot behind the third row that takes about four large cases. The Yukon XL is the long-wheelbase version, around 5.7 metres long, and the extra length goes almost entirely into the boot. For the US-spec XL, GMC quotes 41.5 cubic feet behind the third row, roughly 1,175 litres.
That’s why so many Dubai operators list the XL. Six people with a large case each fits in an XL. In a standard Yukon, it usually means a case on someone’s lap.
Denali, by the way, is a trim level, not a size. GMC Middle East launched the refreshed 2025 Yukon in Abu Dhabi in November 2024 with Elevation, AT4, AT4 Ultimate and Denali trims, all with V8 engines. Denali gets the nicer leather and the most equipment.

How a family of five fits in a GMC Yukon with driver
Two parents and three children fit a Yukon well. On seven-seat cars, the parents take the second-row captain’s chairs, the children go in the third row, and the walkway between the chairs lets them climb back without anyone getting out. With five passengers you can also fold half the third row. That frees space for a pushchair or a golf bag next to the suitcases.
Long motorway runs in a GMC Yukon

Yukon Denali against the Escalade and the V-Class
Against the Cadillac Escalade, the Yukon gives up some cabin polish and the Cadillac name. Space is close to identical because they share a platform. If the arrival needs to impress a client, book the Cadillac. If it’s your family, the Yukon does the same job.
The Mercedes V-Class is the other real choice. Its sliding doors and lower floor are easier for grandparents and small children, and it usually swallows more luggage. The Yukon sits higher and feels more like a car than a van.
